Get a better understanding of your intellectual, cognitive, emotional,

and behavioral functioning

Our psychological assessment service can provide you with a deeper understanding of your strengths or the challenges that are preventing you from reaching your full potential.

We can help clarify your needs by evaluating intellectual, cognitive, emotional and behavioural functioning as well as assessing the personality factors that may influence your ability to function optimally in certain areas of your life. We will identify areas of strength and uncover any specific barriers to optimal functioning. Issues related to cognitive delays, social/emotional concerns and mental health concerns are also addressed. Assessments are typically conducted over one or two days. After the initial assessment, our Psychologist will meet with you to clearly explain the results and discuss specific recommendations. A comprehensive written report is also provided.

Psychological assessments can be useful in the following situations: 

  • If you are struggling with one or more of the following mental health problems including, depression and anxiety disorders (i.e., social phobia, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), etc. and to help with treatment planning.
  • If you experienced a motor vehicle accident (MVA) and are struggling to recover
  • If you experienced a workplace accident and are dealing with Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB)
  • If you experienced some type of head trauma from a fall or other type of accident
  • If you are having difficulties in school and experiencing memory or concentration problems or think you may have a learning disability
  • If you are struggling socially and having difficulties maintain close relationships and want to learn more about yourself
